Confidentiality

Confidentiality is central to therapy. It helps create a space where you can speak openly and feel supported.

Everything you share in therapy is treated as strictly confidential, and I take great care to protect your privacy.

When Confidentiality May Need to Be Broken

Confidentiality is maintained unless there is a serious concern about safety or a legal obligation to share information. This may include:

  • A risk of serious harm to you or someone else

  • A safeguarding concern involving a child or vulnerable adult

  • A court order requiring disclosure

  • A professional or regulatory duty to share information

If this ever becomes necessary, I will always aim to discuss it with you first and share only what is essential.
