Dr. Andreea Arsene
(BPS, HCPC, EFTA)
Welcome — I’m Dr. Andreea Arsene. For 25 years, it has been a profound privilege to journey with couples, families, and teams as they heal and rediscover the deeper connections that help them thrive.
I have extensive experience of 25 years supporting adults and children in NHS and private services, in individual and couples intervention. My training in systemic family and couples psychotherapy, alongside counselling psychology, allows me to work thoughtfully and collaboratively with clients. I’m known for offering a calm, grounded, and compassionate therapeutic space.
I care deeply about creating a space where people feel safe, understood, and genuinely supported. My approach is solution focused and collaborative, and I value the richness of working alongside other professionals when a client’s care needs it.

Whether I’m coordinating complex cases or working one to one, my focus is always on what will help the person in front of me feel more grounded, hopeful, and empowered.I pay close attention to each client’s needs, goals, and pace. Therapy isn’t one size fits all — it’s a journey we walk together, with kindness, clarity, and a shared understanding of what matters most.
At the heart of my work is a simple belief: everyone deserves a therapeutic space filled with compassion, connection, and genuine human warmth.

Therapeutic Approaches
Alongside my core training, I also work with several therapeutic models that help me support people in a gentle, practical, and empowering way.
1. Systemic Therapy
I am trained in Systemic Therapy, an approach that explores how relationships, communication patterns, and social systems influence wellbeing. Rather than focusing solely on the individual, it helps people understand the dynamics within families, couples, teams, and communities. By strengthening connection, improving communication, and building on existing strengths, Systemic Therapy supports meaningful and lasting change.
2. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
In addition, I use principles from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), a model that encourages resilience, flexibility, and the ability to stay connected to what truly matters, even when life feels challenging. ACT teaches us how to make room for difficult emotions while still moving forward in meaningful ways.
3. Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
I am trained in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), which offers a rich set of skills for managing emotions, building resilience, and navigating overwhelming moments. These skills can be incredibly grounding — helping people feel more steady, more in control, and more able to move through difficult experiences with clarity.
4. Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT)
I also draw from Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), which brings a deeply human, kind, and proactive approach to healing. It helps us understand our inner world with softness rather than self criticism, and it supports people in developing a more compassionate relationship with themselves.
